PERMANENT BRANDING

 

Not a single one of us had ever been part of a nonprofit before starting the Carolina Archive of Storytelling. No combination of the six of us had worked together in any capacity before mulling the idea around either. In the year from concept to launch, we learned lots about our friendships, personalities, and strengths. We also learned that we care a lot more about Columbia than initially realized.

REPRESENTATION

The logo needed to capture everything we stand for & hope to become over the next 10 years. 

WHAT WE DO

We really loved the idea of a friendly microphone being included to encourage people to walk right up and start talking.

WHERE WE ARE

The dream is for CAST to be in every city in North & South Carolina. For now, we are focusing on Columbia in order to grow, but wanted to represent that our sights are larger than just the Capital City.

WHAT WE LOVE

All six of us are in love with Southern culture. We especially love how within three hours you can be from the beach to the mountains in the greatest state USA has to offer.

FINAL ITERATION

After months of deliberation and direction changes, we finalized our logo the night before our launch. It become a culmination of everyone’s ideas and notes and, in a stroke of luck, felt right at the last possible moment. Now the logo is on stickers, so that’s fun.
